The Center for Biomimetics and Bioinspired Engineering is currently focusing on the following areas of research to understand nature's designs and utilize the knowledge in engineering applications:

Biological Locomotion: Analysis of swimming , flying and crawling in nature

Bioinspired Control: Nature inspired control schemes and technologies

Biometrology: Instruments for precision measurement of biological systems/structures

Biorobotics: Nature inspired robotics

Bioinspired Materials: Nature inspired materials
